PE-TRA Bandsaw Machine Features
Saw Bed: Designed & engineered to perfection with vision & experience, Petra Bandsaw's Fabricated steel base is manufactured from Laser Cut Sheet Metal. All bed parts are pressed & welded neatly. Every care is taken to make it rigid by supporting it with beam at required points. Column base (very near to centre of gravity, makes it most stable machine) machined & milled accurately for the lifelong error free performance.
Columns: Cold drawn solid columns precisely machined for accurate results & speeds. These square columns give better stability while cutting, because of its perfect structural design. Linear guides are mounted outward face of the columns enhances cutting feeds to the recognition levels. A Rack Pinion rail on the rear face eliminates both the influence of centre of gravity shift & cutting forces, which ultimately improves the overall performance of the machine.
Power transmission: High efficiency power transmission to the saw thru Helical Drive, makes it the most efficient machine in this catagory. It is  integrated with an Inverter for infinitely variable blade speeds.


Blade tensioning: Tensioning is powered by hydraulic with easy to operate controls. Allows for very quick and convenient blade change A state of art hydraulic blade tensioning arrangement, calibrated for the required tension in the blade & hence avoiding undesirable stresses in the blade, which improves the tool life.  Its well engineered design makes it possible to align the wheels easily if needed.
Blade guide system: Guides provide flat carbide inserts. Both blade guides are straight having no cantilever joints, correctly aligned with the cutting line & hence guiding the blade to cut straight. Also blade guide slot is pre-designed & defined which allows the smooth blade movement, eliminating vibrations & achieves taper free cuts. No gap setting required for the carbide tip, while inserting the blade.The carbide tips & gap is per-designed & for life.
Wire Brush: Motorized & shaft mounted.Hence no coupling & without maintainence
Wheel Diameter: 500 mm, among the biggest in its category in the world. VERY important for the durability of blades. Solid Driver & driven wheels are plasma cut to the size & precisely machined grooves at the surface gives required grip to the blade.
Hydraulics: Powered by 0,75 kW, 6 l/min pump, Kladivar-Parker. During cutting the hydraulic system is idle which keeps the oil temperature at environmental level at all times and saves electricity. An efficient hydraulic system with 24V solenoid valves having LED results in easy diagnose of the problem at first hand, if occurs. Also it is saving the energy as pump goes off during feed & therefore maintaining oil quality for the longer periods.
Front discharge table: For easy handling of cut pieces a solid plate table, 400 mm in length, is bolted on to machine base in front of the front clamping vise. It is fully coolant panned to return coolant to the machine.
Cutting Pressure / Feed rate: The maximal cutting force is adjustable and automatically maintained at set level with built-in highly reliable, maintenance-free hydro-mechanical control system. The feed rate is adjustable through a front-end operated valve on the fixed guiding arm. Operator cannot damage the blade under normal operation. A well engineered Hydraulic Feeding system with a flexibility to adjust cutting force for a particular cutting application makes it an ideal machine with an enhanced tool life. This feature protects the tool from undue cutting pressures & saves the costly tool.
Feed stroke: 430mm, which is catering most of the jobs. If cut lengths are more than 430mm, machine has the facility of Multi-Indexing.
Chip Conveyor: Chips are removed from cutting area to easy-to-empty container with automated chip conveyor Chips dry out returning the coolant to the system before released to chip tank. Coolant and chips are fully separated.
PLC: System control is realized with SIEMENS S7-200 PLC. -Real time feed rate is displayed -Real time Cutting rates is displayed
Panel: Clear layout and orderly marked wiring facilitates user friendly servicing.
Rear or Shuttle vise: Its a neatly designed Shuttle vise and table.All movable items are fully shielded for the safety. Gap between the rollers are covered, which prevent chips and small job ends to fall inside. Also it protects the hard chrome plated guide bars from chips etc, on which shuttle moves.
SIKO Meter: To set the required cut length.Easily accessible to the operator. Its least count is 0.1 mm.
Coolant system: Easy to clean tank, integrated with chip conveyor makes it possible to eaisly clean chip conveyor housing also.

Technical details DC300A CutMaster
Saw Frame, Power Transmission and Blade tensioning system:
The saw frame is inclined for 35 degrees which increases the lifetime of blades. The elevation control is realized with the Return Height Limiter. This greatly reduces the time needed for the next cutting cycle.
The blade is powered by 3 KW (4 kW as optional) electric motor with Watt Drive Helical Gear Box , which have high power transmission efficiency. This gear is very high quality, practically maintenance free and comes with worldwide guaranty and support coverage. The blade speed is infinitely variable from 20–120 m/min controlled by  Hitachi.  The machine comes standard with inverter.
Blade tensioning is hydraulic and factory per-set. It comes with a tension control indicator and release valve for easy blade exchange. For a prolonged time of no activity the blade tension can be released.
The blade guide system uses flat carbide inserts.
Hydraulic system:
Hydraulic pump and electro-mechanical valves are from Kladivar- Parker . The hydraulic system uses 0,75 kW motor, 6 l/min pump. During cutting the hydraulic system is idle which keeps the oil temperature at environmental level at all times and saves electricity.
The down-feed cutting force is adjustable and automatically maintained at set level with built-in highly reliable, maintenance-free hydro-mechanical control system.
The feed rate is adjustable through a front-end operated valve on the fixed guiding arm.
Clamping:
Main vise has a heavy duty construction for clamping the job and comes with adjustable clamping pressure to facilitate clamping of solids to thin walled tubes.For easy handling of cut pieces a solid plate table, 330 mm in length, is bolted on to machine base in front of the front clamping vise. It is fully coolant panned to return coolant to the machine.
The automatic feed system is equipped with automatic floating (self-adjusting) shuttle vise feed system with rollers and mechanically adjustable, up to 430 mm feed stroke capability with multi-indexing facility. The saw comes standard with 1,5 m long roller table with load capacity 10000 N.
Cooling and chip removal:
The coolant system accommodates 40 liters of coolant and uses 100W centrifugal, sealed pump. The coolant is dispensed through fixed and guided arm. The chips are removed from the blade with Direct Mounted Powered brush continually flushed by cooling fluid.
Great care has been taken to remove the chips efficiently and in general to keep the machine as clear of chips as possible. Chips are removed from cutting area to easy-to-empty container with automated chip conveyor. The conveyor is activated at the start of the machine and runs contineously for the best cleaning. Chips and coolant are separated into two tanks.
Operation and safety:
Control console with clear layout of control keys and switches is located on the left side and in front of the machine for operator convenience. A back-lit display unit on the consol makes it convenient for the operator to preset  number of the pieces cut, Multi-indexing. Operator can keep a tab on the alarms if any being displayed.
The saw may be operated in semi or fully automatic mode in which the automatic cutting cycle is synchronized with bar feed mechanism and clamping action.
The saw will automatically shut off in case that the blade breaks, the determined number of pieces have been cut or there is a loss of pressure in the hydraulic system.
Computer control is realized with SIEMENS S7-200 PLC.
Machine is equipped with blade guards and awareness barriers for safety purposes according to CE norm.
