Blade approach angle can be changed with a just selector switch and whole arm, along with blade guides adjust itself to respective blade angle. Movement of the blade guide is automatic and moves along with the vise. This machine model has a capacity of 420 mm x 420 mm and is equipped with load / force mechanism on both blade guides, to negotiate cutting of wide size solid jobs and to control cutting conditions at entry and exit of hollow sections. Machine arm movement is based on PETRA's dual column platform, which ensures stick slip free movement and offers smooth and vibration free cutting environment. Its True Dual Column, design assures structural rigidity. The Patented solution for precise, parallel movement of the frame including Ball Rail System on both columns provide superior fine movement of the frame eliminating both the influence of the center of gravity and cutting forces on the frame. A strong engine of 7,1 kW Helical drive generates more than enough power for cutting a 420 x 420 mm area with optimal cutting parameters. A robust construction of integrated support table with rollers, makes it easy to set a heavy duty job. A well designated control consol on the front door of this neatly covered machine, makes operator more comfortable. |

This Clamping system for Small
diameter bars in bundle has been successfully integrated with PETRA
Machine's standard Dual Column Bandsaw Machine Model DC300A.
Anyone cutting the small diameter bars in bundle knows,how difficult to cut. Practically speaking,it is not from the point of view of 'Cutting difficulty' of these diameter bars, but from the point of view of the its end result and henceforth its cutting and operational cost. |

| The main problem occur in a normal standard machine(even after using a correct TPI blade, speed and feed) are: 01.Burrs on the face of the cut piece. 02.Some times one of the bars in the bundle rotates and damages the blade. 03. Reduction in the blade durability. |
|
|
Normal working pressure in a standard bandsaw may be 40bar, which may exert a force of 1 ton and this force is very high as far as 12 mm dia bars clamped in bundle is concerned.This high pressure tend to make the bundle gets disturbed and bars may jump of or even rotate. |
|
| At PETRA Machines, we analyzed these problems and concluded to have a reduced clamping pressure in the Feeding vise and a top guide at the shuttle vise, which would not exert any pressure on the bars, but shall touch the bars and restrict their upward movement and most importantly an extra vertical clamp just near to the blade at the exit. This clamp is a mechanical clamp with adjustments for various sizes and keeps the optimum pressure on the 'Cut lengths', to avoid any movement after the cut is over. | |

The unique feature of this clamp is , to reduce the feed at the 'near end of the cut' to avoid any damage to the bar edges. The machine is already having its standard vertical clamp at the front vise, behind the blade line.This comprehensive clamping system for such applications, has given the best results in terms of , nearly eliminating the burrs at the edges and improvement in tool life, with optimum speeds and feeds. Hence reducing the cutting time. A 12mm diameter bundle (12mm dia x 14 no bars in a single row bundle) takes only 12 seconds to cut, mainitaining the excellent surface finish and durability of the blade.The results are excellent and encouraging too for other small size below 35mm diameter. |

| Saw Frame , Power Transmission and Blade Tensioning System: |
| The saw frame is inclined for 35 degrees which increases the lifetime of blades. The elevation control is realized with the Return Height Limiter. This greatly reduces the time needed for the next cutting cycle. |
| The blade size is conveniently 4150 x 34 x 1,1 mm. These provides for significant saving in cost per blade. |
| The blade is powered by 3 KW electric motor with Bonfiglioli warm gearbox or Valvel Warm Gear Box . This gear is very high quality, practically maintenance free and comes with worldwide guaranty and support coverage. The blade speed is indefinitely variable from 20–120 m/min controlled by Hitachi . The machine comes standard with inverter. |
| Blade tensioning is hydraulic and factory per-set. It comes with a tension control indicator and release valve for easy blade exchange. For a prolonged time of no activity the blade tension can be released. |
| The blade guide system uses flat carbide inserts. |
| The down-feed cutting force is adjustable and automatically maintained at set level with built-in highly reliable, maintenance-free hydro-mechanical control system. |
| The feed rate is adjustable through a front-end operated valve on the fixed guiding arm. |
| Clamping: |
| Main vise is of Heavy Duty construction with adjustable clamping pressure makes it convenient to clamp Solids to thin walled tubes. |
| For easy handling of cut pieces a solid plate table, 400 mm in length, is bolted on to machine base in front of the front clamping vise. It is fully coolant panned to return coolant to the machine. |
| Cooling and chip removal: |
| The coolant system accommodates 80 liters of coolant and uses 100W centrifugal, sealed pump. The coolant is dispensed through fixed and guided arm and in the area of cleaning brush. |
| The chips are removed from the blade with Direct mounted powered brush continually flushed by cooling fluid. |
| Chips are removed from cutting area to easy-to-empty container with automated chip conveyor. The conveyor is activated at pre-set cycles which saves electricity and increases lifetime of the conveyor. Chips and coolant are separated into two tanks. |
| Operation and safety: |
| Control console with clear layout of control keys and switches is located on the left side and in front of the machine for operator convenience. |
| The saw operates in semi automatic mode. The saw will automatically shut off in case that the blade breaks or there is a loss of pressure in the hydraulic system. |
| Laser-line pointer is provided as standard equipment for easy alignment of the cut piece. |
| Machine is equipped with blade guards and awareness barriers for safety purposes according to CE norm. |
