PE-TRA Bandsaw Machine Features
Saw Bed:
Designed & engineered to perfection with vision & experience, Petra Bandsaw's Fabricated steel base is manufactured from Laser Cut Sheet Metal. All bed parts are pressed & welded neatly. Every care is taken to make it rigid by supporting it with beam at required points. Column base (very near to centre of gravity, makes it most stable machine) machined & milled accurately for the lifelong error free performance.
Power transmission:
Looking to its high end cutting applications using Carbide Blades, DC300A POWER CutMaster is equipped with a powerful helical geared drive of 4 Kw, which generates 5,5 Kw at 87Hz. makes it the most powerful and the efficient machine in this catagory. It is  integrated with an 5,5 Kw Inverter for infinitely variable blade speeds.
Columns:

Cold drawn solid columns precisely machined for accurate results & speeds. These square columns give better stability while cutting, because of its perfect structural design. Linear guides are mounted outward face of the columns enhances cutting feeds to the recognition levels. A Rack Pinion rail on the rear face eliminates both the influence of centre of gravity shift & cutting forces, which ultimately improves the overall performance of the machine.
Blade tensioning:
Tensioning is powered by hydraulic with easy to operate controls. Allows for very quick and convenient blade change A state of art hydraulic blade tensioning arrangement, calibrated for the required tension in the blade & hence avoiding undesirable stresses in the blade, which improves the tool life.  Its well engineered design makes it possible to align the wheels easily if needed.
Blade guide system:
Automatic movement of movable blade guide along with main vise. Movable blade guide moves on wide and strong Linear motion guideway,which provides large area of contact and highly engineered assembly, eliminates vibrations in movable blade guide. Both blade guides are straight having no cantilever joints, correctly aligned with the cutting line & hence guiding the blade to cut straight. Also blade guide slot is pre-designed & defined which allows the smooth blade movement, eliminating vibrations & achieves taper free cuts. No gap setting required for the carbide tip, while inserting the blade.The carbide tips & gap is pre-designed & for life.
Wire Brush:
Motorized & shaft mounted, fitted at predesigned angle.Assembly does not have any coupling & hence no maintainence.
Wheel Diameter:
This highly engineered machine model again comes as a winner in terms of price -performance ratio due to lot of unique features it has , along with big wheel diameter of 500 mm, among the biggest in its category in the world. VERY important for the durability of blades. Solid Driver & driven wheels are plasma cut to the size & precisely machined grooves at the surface gives required grip to the blade.
Hydraulics:
Powered by 0,75 kW, 6 l/min pump, Kladivar-Parker. During cutting the hydraulic system is idle which keeps the oil temperature at environmental level at all times and saves electricity. An efficient hydraulic system with 24V solenoid valves having LED results in easy diagnose of the problem at first hand, if occurs. Also it is saving the energy as pump goes off during feed & therefore maintaining oil quality for the longer periods.
Front discharge table:
For easy handling of cut pieces a solid plate table, 400 mm in length, is bolted on to machine base in front of the front clamping vise. It is fully coolant panned to return coolant to the machine.
Cutting Pressure / Feed rate:
The maximal cutting force is adjustable and automatically maintained at set level with built-in highly reliable, maintenance-free hydro-mechanical control system. The feed rate is adjustable through a front-end operated valve on the fixed guiding arm. Operator cannot damage the blade under normal operation. A well engineered Hydraulic Feeding system with a flexibility to adjust cutting force for a particular cutting application makes it an ideal machine with an enhanced tool life. This feature protects the tool from undue cutting pressures & saves the costly tool.
Chip Conveyor:
Chips are removed from cutting area to easy-to-empty container with automated chip conveyor Chips dry out returning the coolant to the system before released to chip tank. Coolant and chips are fully separated.
Touch Screen display and control console:
The ergonomically designed control console with touch screen display having well defined menu for ease in programming and operation. All keys are well designated conveniently located over the console.
Touch screen facilitates the Length setting for various batches with ease and also display real time Cutting rates and blade speed, enables operator to monitor and maneuver the machine.
This Touch screen can be programmed in various langauges as per customer's requirement.
Control Panel:
Automatic control is provided by SIEMENS. Clear layout and orderly marked wiring facilitates user friendly servicing.
Rear or Shuttle vise:
Its a neatly designed Shuttle vise and table. Clamping system is equipped with self adjusting shuttle vise. Clamping presure at feed vise is infinitely variable and can be set s per cutting application.All movable items are fully shielded for the safety. Gap between the rollers are covered, which prevent chips and small job ends to fall inside. Also it protects the hard chrome plated guide bars from chips etc, on which shuttle moves.
Length setting system:
Length setting system comprises of a powerful Stepper motor with brake, which sets the target moving over Ball screw, makes it most precise system. This system proved its realiability through consistant results. This new generation system is integaretd with a drive, PLC and Touch screen to set the length for various batches. Maximum 10 nubers of batches can be programmed. Multi-indexing is automatic.
Coolant system:
Coolant tank is equipped with chip filteration and metal dust arrest system, keeps the down time low. Easy to clean tank, integrated with chip conveyor makes it possible to eaisly clean chip conveyor housing also.
