launched its compact, a high performance, 24 x7, fully automatic band saw machine model DC300A POWER CutMaster, with digital length
setting arrangement. Most important, it
is designed and built for high speed cutting with Carbide blades.
PETRA DC300A POWER
CutMaster is built on its proven PETRA platform of Ball Rail System on both
columns to provide superior fine movement of the frame eliminating both the influence
of the center of gravity and cutting forces on the frame, in this high speed
and high volume cutting scenario.
It's a neatly covered
band saw machine with touch screen display for the interactive data inputs and
outputs. A simple menu is designed, which can be understand by any Band saw
machine operator, makes it the most simple and easy to operate Band saw
machine.
With real time cutting
rate display, an operator can easily maneuver the whole cutting operation.
Cutting lengths can be set for various batches of different sizes and shapes of
job at ease through Touch screen. A maximum of ten number of cutting lengths
can be set. Machine takes the multi-indexing parameter automatically and has a single
feed stroke of 400 mm.
Length setting
arrangement used in PETRA DC300A POWER, a Stepper drive with brake coupled with Ball screw, which guarantees
consistency in length even after years of working , unlike other devices, whose
efficiency gets affected due to coolant, chips or dust. PETRA DC300A POWER
length setting system, actually sets the target / sensor at desired length
instead of moving the job and hence PETRA able to guarantee consistency in cut
lengths.
PETRA DC300A POWER is
designed for full capacity cutting irrespective of material (100% capacity
utilization); hence it is equipped with a 4 Kw helical drive, which gives
output of 5,5Kw at 87 Hz. It has been demonstrated during EMO-2009 exhibition
in Milano, where DC300A POWER was cutting continuously during all days of
exhibition, a material 42CrMo4 (Q+T) of
280 mm diameter at 100 sq cm / min with a blade speed of 100 meters / min using
a Carbide blade. With 500 mm diameters of the band wheels and a blade size of
4150 x 34 x 1,1mm, DC300A POWER comes out with the best price-performance ratio.
To keep the machine's
coolant system free from metal dust in a 24x7 cutting environment, PETRA
develops a new coolant cum filtration system for this machine model, which
keeps the coolant free of metal dust to flow through the system.
To keep the machine's
work area free from chips, special coolant nozzles are installed at strategic
locations, directs most of the chips to flow into the chip conveyor, making it
one of the cleanest band saw machine.
Machine is equipped with blade guards and awareness barriers for safety purposes according to CE norm.
