PETRA Machines displayed its Dual Column Fully Automatic Bandsaw machine model DC300A at Machine Tool Exhibition, which was held from 6th May to 9th May at Swedish Exhibition Centre, Goteborg in Sweden. The Machine was on display on our associate, Team RIX AB's stand, who represents us in Sweden.
Once again, PETRA machines attracted interest from the cutting professionals and potential customers with its live cutting performance due to its unique and patented Dual column design with ball rail system.
An ultimate performance by PETRA  Bandsaw Machine Model DC300A in Machine Tools Exhibition 08 at Goteborg, Sweden
We cut Material St52-U3 of diameter 250mm, with a blade of make RIX Sagen (Blade model ‘TOP’) and of size 4150 x 34 x 1,1 mm and had 2/3 TPI. We cut almost 4,10 sq meters with cutting time of 8 min per cut, with an average cutting rate of 61,32 sq cm /min at 55 meters/min blade speed. The cuts were perfect. 
On the last day of the exhibition, after cutting an area of 4,10 sq meters, we loaded the machine for its ultimate test with the same blade and the material at an average cutting rate of 106,80 sq cm/min with a blade speed of 65,34 meters/min.
These result shows, how perfect the machine is. It is very efficient in cutting, also saving on energy, with only 3,6 ampere current drawn at the peak. Its chip conveyor is also much efficient, churning out heaps of dry chips continuously into the bin.

  PE-TRA Bandsaw Machine at Techni Show, Netherlands
PETRA Machines Ltd. launched its 2008 series machines in Netherlands at Techn-show, which was held from 11th to 15th March 2008 at Utrecht, Netherlands.
PE-TRA DC300A CutMaster is displayed at the exhibition in association with our dealer AMTC. Its received alround appreciation from the potential customers as well as professionsals, due to its Dual Column design with ball rail system.Its added features of Feed rate and Cutting rate display also created an interest in the engineering fraternity.

PETRA Machines ltd.,displayed Fully Automatic Double Column Bandsaw Machine Model DC300A from its '2008 Series' at International exibition, BI-MU MEDITERRANEA,Bari, Italy, which is held from 21 to 24 February,2008.  
Its live performance attracted interest from metal cutting professionals as well as potential  customers.
This machine model, besides its patented technology of precise, parallel movement of the frame including Ball Rail System on both columns, has now added advantage of Real time Feed rate and cutting rate data display along with electronic cutting height limiter.
Visitors, which includes end users, praised these features.

PETRA Machines co. marked it presence felt at EMO-2007 at Hannover with its improved machine model CutMaster DC300A and ToolMaster DC300XL. Using Patented technology of precise, parallel movement of the frame including Ball Rail System on both columns, PE-TRA machines displayed the optimal cutting performance.
DC300XL is specially developed for the smaller Tool Shops with limited space.
Live perfomance on CutMaster DC300A attracted interest from many metal cutting professionals present at EMO 2007. Details can be seen in ´NEWS´.

  PETRA Bandsaw Performance at EMO-2007
PETRA Machines Ltd. marked it presence felt at EMO-2007 at Hannover with its improved machine model CutMaster DC300A and ToolMaster DC300.

Using Patented technology of precise, parallel movement of the frame including Ball Rail System on both columns, PE-TRA machines displayed the optimal cutting performance.
It was a live and ultimate performance of PE-TRA bandsaw machine’s capability when CutMaster DC300A was continuously loaded with solid round of 270 mm of 42CrMo4 (G+T) and consistently resulting in 6 min 15 sec cycle time, means a cutting rate of 91 sq cm/min. Blade used is M42 Bimetal and till the end of exhibition, it had already cut over 9 sq meters and still with the teeth intact even after aggressive test at cutting feed toping 120 sq cm/min.
This performance has been achieved due to unique design of its Cutting Arm technology which is absolutely smooth, and practically creates no vibrations in the arm as well as in the blade. Its sensitive Down Feed/Force pure mechanical/hydraulic control system works very efficiently and hence eliminates any erratic loading of the tool. Chip cleaning mechanism with direct motor mounted brush at a pre-designed angle also envisage into efficient cleaning of blade gullet, which is exactly needed for such high performance cutting. Its chip conveyor is also much efficient, churning out heaps of dry chips continuously into the bin.
Over & above, its Hydraulic system runs so cool after continuous cutting that oil temperature is still at environmental level. Hence results shown by the CutMaster DC300A is a collective performance of all these machine features.
Such price/performance attracted interest from many metal cutting professionals present at EMO 2007.

  Band Saw PE-TRA at Metav München 2006


  PE-TRA at EMO Hannover 2005, Germany
PETRA Machines co. from Ljubljana, Slovenia exhibited its new family of True Double Column band saws… the DC300A CutMaster and DC300 ToolMaster models which are based on Patent pending design.
The two exhibited models caught a lot of attention from the metal sawing experts. The simplicity end effectiveness of the Patent Pending solution for continuous and parallel movement of the bandsaw frame along the double columns was demonstrated with the use of carbide tipped blades on DC300 ToolMaster model. These blades are sensitive to vibrations and require very rigid construction of the machine and are mostly use for cutting difficult-to-cut materials and in cases where the speed of cutting and quality of the cut surface is important. Visitors also praised the proven and demonstrated capability of the machine to cut the materials of maximum declared measures with ease, which was not always a practice in the past. With PE-TRA 300 really is 300 said one of the visitors.

  Band Saw Machine PE-TRA at FETEC 2005
From 21-24 of October 2005 Petra Machines co. participated at FETEC exhibition in Athens. We exhibited and demonstrated the automatic bandsaw DC300A CutMaster which was for the first time code-named CutMaster. We exhibited it on PERRIS SA Company booth. Mr. Manolis Perris. the owner of family business that is in operation for more then 50 years in area of representation, sales and support of machine tools, is optimistic about the future sales in Greece. First deals were already realised.
