PETRA Machines believes in challenges and face every challenge seriously. Recently, a press brake tooling manufacturer from Poland gave a task to cut die and punch (material is 1.2312 having working edge hardness of 55 HRc) lengths of 1.100 mm to the desired lengths. The requirement was to cut variable lengths with precision of +/- 0,1 mm and with perfect perpendicularity of cut. Customer wanted to avoid entire phase of milling to length and just use minimal grinding. Without any special modification the PETRA band saw is now meeting this requirement in day to day operation. User is claiming significant reduction in time and costs. It was not expected that this level of precision can be achieved in regular production with band saw technology. The customer decided for PETRA DC300 Power CNC after extensive testing on many branded band saws.
